What’s The Focus

So I'm part of this drama ministry called [Awaken](http://www.awakenonline.org/). You may have [heard me talk about it before.](/search/label/Awaken)

Anyway, I was going to try to write a funny post about how the only thing it was missing was a pony and this post was going to be full of inside jokes and references to My Little Pony and I’d wrap it up with some sort of message tacked on at the end with that “Pointy Blog” style I’m always accused of.

I won’t do that.

I don’t know why but at our performance in Waukee last weekend, our first performance this year, the drama hit me in a way it really hadn’t before. I was running around trying to get video to put into a trailer for next year, but during one of the scenes I just sort of clammed up. Have you ever had that feeling where you just don’t feel like even moving?

I felt like I could not shoot any more video, and put my camera down and watched.

It was a very strange feeling, watching this drama that I’ve been a part of almost four dozen times. It’s a feeling I can’t and won’t try to describe.

I guess I’m kind of rambling, but what I’m trying to say is that there are times in life when we just need to put down our cameras and focus on God.

I don’t know if I could have said that better if I talked about ponies or not, just know that this is what’s on my heart right now.
