KABOOM!

Exploded Valley View Bank ATM

So this weekend I was visiting the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.

While I was sitting outside having lunch, I heard a loud explosion across the street. I looked up to see a large cloud of smoke coming from the parking lot of the bank. I figured it was some kids shooting off fireworks or something (it is that time of year) and I didn’t really think much of it.

Later, I heared a rumor that somebody blew up the ATM across the street and got away with the money.

I had to see this for myself.

I ventured across the street and, sure enough, the ATM was wrapped in Police tape, the bottom had been duct taped closed. You could easily see that someone definitely bombed this thing to get the cash.

Sort of like that verse in Galatians.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Why have we been crucified with Christ? Because underneath our sinful nature and all of our crap, we are children of God, created in His own image. In order to bring that out, God has to tear down the shell around it.

In order to get the cash out of us, God has to blow us up.

Let God blow you up.
